Great place to live downtown if you're looking for modern convenience and to stay away from high prices near channelside and the like.

Pros:
- Excellent access to all major highways and roads that pass downtown. This is it's biggest benefit.
- Good value for the location and quality
- Still relatively new (opened summer 2014)
- Lots of parking
- Key restricted access to elevators (though easily bypassed).

Cons:
- A certain percentage of units are public housing. This definitely affects the curb appeal of the place. When I have people over they often question some of the interesting characters they might meet in the elevator. Leading to me having to explain the situation to them. However, I've never had a direct problem personally, everyone is pleasant.

Special Note: There are trains that pass through downtown on a regular basis. They blow the horn every street crossing, which there are a lot of. This is definitely noticeable from the apartment at first. However, I stopped noticing it after a week or two.

Spoke to the leasing agent several times plus provided my contact info and never received any info about available apartments.

Weeks later after contacting the management company on Facebook, I was sent a blank application to fill out with no info if there was an available apartment. I contacted the leasing agent and the property manager, both were useless, neither one would would provide any info on available apartments. Both wanted me to fill out the application, pay an unreturnable application fee plus a deposit on an un-named and un-available apartment.

Stay away from Asset Living Property managed apartments because they don't know what Customer Service is but they do know how to take your money.

Beware... it took 3.5 months to finally get my $100 refundable deposit back. They ignore you and they make excuses. I had to be very persistent on sending daily emails and letting them know I will report them to the BBB, if they don't send the refund to me. Just based on the reviews here, I'm pretty sure there are many people out there that have not received their deposit back.

This place will take your money to be put on a waiting list then refuse to give it back if you find another place. You provide a $100 cashiers check that per their policy, you are suppose to get back if you end up in a different apartment complex. I have called and emailed for 3 months. I reported them to the BBB. Stay away from this disgusting place.

Beautiful apartments downtown and great staff! We've had a very positive experience with Yolanda in the leasing office. She has been very attentive to all our questions and concerns, and went above and beyond to help us move forward with our application. They apartments are quite popular (usually full) but happened to have an opening the day that we called. We are very grateful!

I just moved out and I’m just realizing how cheap the cabinets, walls, paint and appliances are. At first I thought I was living lavish. I was living in the Trio for over 4 1/2 years I’ve never had a problem until this new property manager arrived. She is a very rude heartless person. She never smiles and out of all of the activities that the other wonderful staff has held I’ve never seen her attend 1. I’ve seen property managers come and go but they’ve all attended activities but not her. On top of that she states I owe them for normal wear and tear and after 5 years and 3 kids I’d imagine so, but the fact that I’ve put in work orders for the things she claim I owe for we’re made but they where (“rigged”) up to work for a little while when they should have been fixed properly and charged me at that time. I’ve even tried washing the walls but when you wash them the paint comes completely off. Now they are taking my deposit and the manager states I owe. Run if you have to choice don’t choose the Trio. Good luck!!!! I forgot to mention all of my clothes smell like mold. My shoes and most of my clothes are all molded and ruined. My children was always sick and now that we’ve moved no allergies nor coughs.
