Been wanting to try this place, some of my friends said it's the best thai food they've had in LA. Their Pad Se Ew and Spicy Fried Rice were amazinggg and would come back again to have that however... Holy crap their red curry was watery and super bland... I know Thai curries tend to be less thick but wow I was quite disappointed.. it came out in like 2 minutes which was also suspicious. Had to add salt to the curry and didn't help much

Parking: There is metered street parking, but I recommend parking in the structure located behind the restaurant. Make a left or right turn on W 27th St and the structure is on the right. It has free 2 hour parking. After, follow the signs to Thai by Trio. You’ll walk through a hallway that leads you to the back of the restaurant.

Ambiance/Environment: This is the most modern and aesthetic Thai restaurant I’ve ever been to. It’s very clean with a large space, and it has plenty of indoor seating. Great for large groups! No outdoor seating. They have restrooms for customers.

Service: We were greeted and seated right after we walked through. Shout out to all our servers! They took great care of us! Majority of them speak English but some are limited. The cooks were quick and efficient. Throughput was approx 10 minutes.

Food & drinks:

1) Popcorn Wonton (appetizer) - Crispy mini wonton stuffed with chicken and cilantro served with peanut sweet sour sauce. These were so crunchy and paired excellent with the sauce!

2) Crispy Mango Chicken (entree) - Crispy chicken with fresh mango, bell peppers, homemade mango sauce, and cashew nuts. This was my favorite dish! It came with a bowl of rice. You can adjust the spice level too, but I kept mine as is. The chicken was cooked well and coated generously with the sauce. It was savory yet sweet. The chunks of mango made it refreshing.

3) Crying Tiger (entree) - Grilled rib eye marinated with Thai spices served with sautéed mixed vegetables. This was my second favorite dish! This also came with a bowl of rice. I requested the meat medium rare. Some pieces were well done but still delicious. It came with a lot of meat! I’m unsure what the sauce was, but it made the meat more juicier.

4) Blushing Dragon (cocktails) - soju, lychee juice, pomegranate juice, fresh lychee. I love lychee, and the taste of lychee still came through. You can still definitely taste the soju. I enjoyed this drink.

5) Purple Rain (cocktails) - soju, butterfly pea tea, mango juice, lemon juice. I was recommended this drink since it’s their most popular. Now I know why! Other than its looks, it was also delicious!

6) Jasmine Milk Tea Boba - This is nonalcoholic, of course. Definitely tastes like jasmine milk tea, and the boba was decently chewy. Can’t mess up a classic boba drink.

7) Thai Milk Green Tea Boba - This is also nonalcoholic. This is what you call a Thai green tea! The layers were visibly nice, and I also really enjoyed this drink.

Pricing: I’d say it’s worth the price! Portions are shareable and fulfilling. Even I wasn’t able to finish my dish, and I eat A LOT.

Parking: There's some street parking, but just being the restaurant on 27th there's a parking garage you can go to.

When you walk into this restaurant, it's beautifully decorated, there's beautiful art everywhere. I didn't get to take pictures of the place, but trust me when I say its wonderfully decorated.

Service was wonderful, they were very attentive and gave us a lot of amazing suggestions!

Now on to our order!

Drinks:
?Green Thai Milk Tea - This was very refreshing, there's a floral taste to it.
?Thai Milk Tea Boba - another great complimentary drink to the food! The boba was a great consistency!

Food:
? Buddha Dumplings - these were amazing with the green curry! The filling was delicious and perfectly spiced!
? Popcorn Wontons - These were fun to eat! And the dipping sauce was a great compliment to it! We also dipped the dumping into the green curry from the Buddha Dumplings which was also great!
? Crying Tiger - This was so delicious, loved the tenderness of the meat, the crying tiger sauce was great! We also started dipping the meat into the Spicy Catfish sauce.
? Spicy Catfish - I will say this is the star of the show! The catfish was perfectly crispy on the outside, melt in your mouth on the inside. The vegetables were tender, and the sauce was great! Wanted a touch more heat, but that's just a personal preference.
? Mango & Sticky Rice - The perfect finisher for the meal. Light and sweet. Need I say more?

All the dishes here made it to the clean plate club! So if you're in the area and looking for delicious Thai food, head here!

My parents were looking for a Thai spot nearby via Uber eats & this popped up.

I ordered hainam chicken, a vegetable stir fry and a tiramisu. The hainam chicken was delicious, I usually prefer crispy version but this version was very tender and the rice was cooked perfectly with a garlicky flavor. The stir fray was also good but the tiramisu was the best of the bunch. The milk tea boba was about average but still pretty descent. Overall a solid dinner delivery.

I’d definitely order from this order again. I’d like to try this spot and dine in, in the future.

Food is delicious. We got shrimp tempura, edamame, udon with tempura, mango chicken, and green curry. Every dish was very flavorful, and not too salty. If you're sensitive to spicy things, ask if something is spicy before you order.
Kids are up the udon, which we got without veggies. They loved the tempura, and I have to admit I ate two of theirs because it was super crispy and delish.
Ambience is so beautiful!! Bathrooms are clean, and the soap even smells good. You can tell they pay attention to detail.
Service was quick and they were so kind and patient, even with indecisive kids.
Only downside is the street parking, but honestly we came here at 5pm on a Friday and didn't have trouble finding a spot.
Highly recommend!! I feel like this is a hidden gem, it should be busier than it is!!

A nice Thai restaurant near USC. Their menu is a fusion of Thai and southeast Asian food that are popular in Thailand. The crying tiger is very good - tender and juicy meat. The hainan chicken rice could be better. The chicken was quite dry and didn’t have the “chicken oil” feeling that it supposed to have in this dish. Dimsum was good. Parking was quite hard to find. You might need to try street parking and walk across the street.
